How did your bank holiday weekend go?

Did you find yourself Spring cleaning? If you did, there may just be an instinctive reason for it.

According to an ancient tradition, the three days after Palm Sunday are devoted in many countries to a spring cleaning of the whole house, to get ready for the great feast.

If you didn’t get around to Spring cleaning, why not plan it in this weekend? Make sure you concentrate on:

Deep cleaning the kitchen – empty those cupboards and drawers, throw away the Chinese 5-spice you’ve had since 1992 and give everything a good scrub.

Extra Credit: Deep clean any regularly used items like your tea kettle, coffee Pot or blender jug by soaking for several hours in a 1-to-1 water and white vinegar solution to remove residue. Wash thoroughly.

Cupboards – Take a look at all your spare linen and towels, have you redecorated since the last time you last used that paisley bedspread? Maybe a trip to the charity shop is due

Bedrooms, Yours and Kids / Spare  – Don’t forget to rotate your mattresses and disinfect kids toys

Outdoors – Remove everything from your garage reorganize (is it time for a sale?)

Stop hoarding! Be strong ?? if you haven’t used it in years, you don’t need it. Chuck it! Stop telling yourself “just in case”

Spring cleaning is about more than just your general clean. Make a plan of what you want to accomplish and stick to it. You will feel so much better once it’s done ?
